MARINE RESCUE ASSISTANCE IN EMERGENCY, NON-EMERGENCY AND BREAKDOWN SITUATIONS
Marine Rescue Assistance is available 24 hours / 7 days in emergency, non emergency, and routine breakdown situations, with assistance from Point Danger to Bribie Island, and up to 30 nautical miles seaward of the coastline.
Marine Affair holds Corporate VMR Membership, for our own peace of mind. Assistance to members is FREE of charge, however donations for service are gratefully accepted.
Assistance extends only to the closest safe haven. A member may request to be towed beyond a safe haven after consultation with the Rescue vessel Skipper. A reimbursement donation will apply.
In EMERGENCY situations, assistance is provided or sourced regardless of your location, dependent on the situation.
In instances requiring an immediate response, please call 000 on your phone, or MAYDAY / PAN PAN on your marine radio in the first instance.
