We are a full-service boat and jet ski repair and maintenance workshop in Hope Harbour Marina, Hope Island.  Situated within the Boat Masters and Maritmo precinct, which is fully equipped with a 75-ton Ship Lift, allowing us to lift vessels of all sizes.

Jase - With well over 25 years’ experience in all thing’s jet skis and boating, Jason prides himself on being able to assist with even the most technical of questions, and is often told by clients, that they have had multiple people try to assist, only for Jason to walk in, assess the situation, and solve the problem, leaving them “mind blown”.

Samantha - Having worked for the largest jet ski dealership in the world, Samantha was introduced to the world of boating and jet skiing 7 years ago. It was during this time that she discovered her love for boating, gaining experience in workshop and parts/accessories management and jet ski knowledge. Also a qualified Insurance broker, Samantha can assist you with any information you require about adequate insurance cover, and what is required of you, so that in the unfortunate event of a claim, you’ll not run into any trouble.

Our Story

Jason’s passion for all things watersports is very much apparent, when he’s not talking about boats, fixing boats, or driving boats, he’s searching marketplace for the next project boat to sink his teeth into.

Living and breathing jet-skiing and boating for all his life, it’s in his blood. Growing up around boats, his father Scott was a Marine Engineer, running some of the largest Dealerships in New Zealand. Jason and Scott put their heart and soul into their Marine Repair workshop they eventually went on to open together in early 2007 in Auckland, New Zealand. Only recently at the ripe old age of 72, has Scott just retired and finally closed the doors of the shop in NZ he and Jason were very proud to have had together for so many years.

Jason’s expertise is much sought after, having had many job offers to work in the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and the US. Jason has gone onto work in some of the biggest dealerships across Australia, and Jet Ski racing all over the world. Having grown up in Melbourne, then starting and raising his family in New Zealand, it was, ultimately here on the Gold Coast where he finally dropped his anchor. With an ever-growing appetite for boating, opening his own workshop was the logical next step, and how Marine Affair has come to life. As founding owners, he runs the business together with his fiancé Samantha. “Teamwork makes the dream work”, and this is truly the motto they live by.
